The Maine Music Society is a versatile non-profit choral organization that performs a wide variety of musical styles for the enjoyment of its patrons. We consist of the 60 voice MMS Chorale, 20 voice a capella MMS Chamber Singers and professional MMS Orchestra whose members share their love of music and music making with the community.
In addition to performing four major concerts each year at the Gendron Franco Center, members of MMS participate in community events such as the Lewiston/Auburn Art Walk, Veteran recognition and US citizen naturalization ceremonies, and Twelfth Night Celebrations . We regularly collaborate with local high school and adult choirs to support the growth of choral singing in the area.
Our repertoire includes music for everyone – major classical and modern works, pop, rock, folk songs, jazz, religious pieces, art songs, and carols. We invite you to join us in our 28th year of making music soar!
