The Maine Music Society Chamber Singers
Chamber Singers at 12th Night in Foss Mansion, Jan. 2019
A division of the MMS Chorale, the 18 voices of the Maine Music Society Chamber Singers delight in singing a cappella, that is, without accompaniment. Formed in 2013, their musical repertoire includes a delightful mix of genres, including Renaissance pieces, madrigals, spirituals, and ballads as well as modern songs by composers such as George Gershwin, the Beatles and Billy Joel. They sing at local events including Naturalization Ceremonies and the Battle of the Blends at the Gendron Franco Center.
This past January, they had the honor of performing at Governor Mills Inaugural Celebration. And on January 4, 2020, they will once again regale visitors with beautiful Christmas music at the Woman’s Literary Union’s Twelfth Night Celebration at the festively decorated Foss Mansion in Auburn.
