BATTLE OF THE BLENDS XIV
This fall favorite, a fund raiser for Maine Music Society, promises to be the best a cappella concert ever. The largest a cappella showcase in Northern New England, this performance, held for the first time at the Franco-American Heritage Center on Saturday, November 3, 7:30 p.m., will feature a range of styles from gospel to rock to jazz and old standards.
Featuring: Boston Jazz Voices, Undertone, The Maine Steiners, Fretless , Downtown Crossing, and The Royal River Chorus

14th Annual Maine Music Society Garden & Home Tour
The Maine Music Society's 14th Annual Garden & Home Tour will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2008 from 10:00am to 4:00pm, rain or shine. This year's tour consists of eight separate locations including seven gardens and three home interiors. Provencher Landscape & Nursery of Lewiston and Lisbon Road Animal Hospital are sponsoring this year's event.
Tickets are $12.00 purchased in advance available in late June at Provencher Landscape and Nursery, Mr. Paperback, Ivy Cottage, Lewiston & Auburn Hannaford and Shaw's Supermarkets and also through the Maine Music Society office, call 782-1403. Tickets also available the day of the tour at all the gardens for $14.00 each.
