CONCERT I – MUSIC FOR STRING ORCHESTRA

The string orchestra will perform masterpieces composed for the smaller ensemble including the Dvorak Serenade for strings. Kathleen McNerney, who delighted us with her oboe playing last September, will perform the Ralph Vaughan Williams Oboe Concerto. And to conclude the evening, the players will perform the Violin and Oboe Double Concerto in C minor by Johann Sebastian Bach. This will certainly be an orchestra concert not to miss.

This concert will be performed on Saturday, September 26, 2009, 7:30pm at the Franco-American Heritage Center, Cedar Street, Lewiston, ME.
